Your Emp A may say anything, but if he revokes your I-140 before you file AC-21, then you will be in trouble. It is always safe to file CA-21

If you had expressed yourself better (from your first post, I believed you wanted to file by yourself), I wouldn't have bothered with my response.
Saying that, you are right: attorneys do screw up. It happened to me...
But practically speaking, considering how complex a file can be, good luck to you on checking an attorney's job.

I think after reading your case, it is just a standard operating procedure. Not sure why you thought of it as being punished unless some dmv official behaved unprofessionally or rudely with you . I suggest you wait for sometime and you will definitely get your license renewed back.

Getting the driver's license is not the problem, I know it will come. Problem here is why I cannot drive outside SC for up to 60 days waiting for the DL card? Remember I've to surrender my old SC license. This is serious limitation to my work, e.g. I need to go to Atlanta on 08/19 and I cannot drive there.
In September I will go to Italy, what if I don’t get my DL till then?

You should check the latest visa bulletin from DOS..so you won't be able to file 140 & 485 concurrently...

You may not be in position to get exp letters from previous employers due to various reasons e.g., company is closed or they give exp letters in a set format which does not mention what you did there.
In such scenarios Experience letter from X-Colleague or X-Manager from the same company with/under whom you worked will be OK. X-colleague/Manager does not have to be in that company now.
I gave an experience letter to one of my friends who worked in my group in India.
He got his EAD.
Ask the lawyer what kind of language should be there on the exp letter... My friends lawyer gave the language to him.
The person issuing the exp letter has to mention how he knows the applicant and under what capacity you were working,
contact information etc etc.

Your post is confusing. If you got laid off, how come you are on job as yet?
Have you found a new job? Are you working on new H1 or EAD?

"As I am NOT on job at present, I can not produce any client letter at consulate in case if they ask. "
Let me add more on my scenario, I don't know how correct to use the word "laid off", my contract was ended in DEC-08 with client, but still my H1B holding company is paying me and said that they will support sending me all needed documents for H1B extension Stamping, asked me to take a vacation for a month or so (as any way i am going back to India for extension).
As "LostInGCProcess" said as long as my company is paying me, Will i have chances to get my extension stamping? or Shall I have to be on the job with Client and have to carry a letter of proof showing which client i work for?

Say you want to search for all the work been done or being done on say "teapot". Normally you type in "teapot" in search bar and Google will dump millions of results. And those results would be screened objectively based on the search query i.e. "teapot". But interestingly, "kettle" is also a synomous for "teapot" but since the search was objectively driven, this subjective association would be excluded. This is just an example, I framed to explain my point.
A quick answer to above would be to include any synomous words, but we all know in techonological world and especially in the IP area, their could numerous ways to hid the information while maintaining it on public forums. If you have been engaged in IP development, you will understand what I am talking about.
Google has wonderwheel added recently which displays related items to your search keyword (not necessarily synonyms) in a map.

I'm a derivative and recently got an interview notice.
1) My spouse came here with H1 status (without me). Because my spouse's company can only start processing my H4 visa, 3 months after my spouse start date. Since it will be difficult for us to be thousands of miles away, we decided to use my tourist visa and come here so that I can join my spouse. So, I came here initially in B1/B2 status (around February 2006). After 3 months (around May 2006), I got a job offer from one company and was willing to sponsor my H1 visa. During the H1 processing, I had to go back home for emergency. Again came back to US using B1/B2. After I came back, we got a RFE asking for the new I-94. Then, my H1 was approved around November 2006 but only started getting paid around May 2007 (after I got a client).
If asked during the interview, when I started working? Should I answer November 2006 (when my H1 visa was approved) or May 2007 (when I started getting paid bec I got a client)?
2) Late last year we went to Canada and our I-94 was not taken from us. We were told that it's because we will be in Canada for few days only. Hence, we dont have a new I-94 in our hands. Currently, we're still holding old I-94. When we filed our I-485, the last entry date we entered was based on the Canada trip so it wont match the date with the old I-94. Will this cause a problem during the interview?

So I would put the date specified on the old 1-94 exclusive of my trips to Canada, reason being I-94 is the only official record of entering and exiting the country. So why complicate things more?

I just wanted to bump this and get people's opinion on what paper work and other things we should be aware of by not changing the employers who sponsered our green card, but have applied for 485, have I-140 approved (180 days passed since I-140 approval and I-485 receipt dates) and received EAD/AP.
I guess lot of people are in this category. So far, the only advise I have seen is: Extend H1 instead of using EAD.
You have understand the pros and cons for H1 vs EAD
H1:
1. Expensive
2. If for some reason there is an RFE or for that matter any thing, you can always fall back on h1 and then fight for your case
3. if employer revokes I 140 in your case (it would not affect) but you know uscsis. so be careful and H1 helps
EAD:
1. Flexibility
2. more options
3. you can be out of status
4. no employer problems
5. if you have gap, when you extend. then you will be out of job
6. you cannot fall back on H1
so you need to decide.

You are right... you should not submit documents with your LC first submission. In my case, they asked for some documents after my submisission(what it's called Audit); one of them was the Ad which they were not satisfied with it, so they Denied my case. However we appealed sending the whole Ad page making them change the case back to 'In Process'.
I hope so too and thanks for your reply. I am still confused. As far as I know, you are not supposed to send/submit any supporting documents with your LC application unless it is asked for in a later date.
Now my question is, did they ask you to submit the newspaper ad some point after your manager/lawyer submited your LC application online? It seems like you sent the just ad part and they were not satisfied with it and asked more evidence and you sent the whole page again. Did they deny your LC after you sent the whole page ad or what point did they deny it?

Just a quick update for future readers incase they get in to a similar situation as mine. Upon finding out that "transportation letter" might be a possibility my wife approached the United States Embassy in New Delhi (Key here is Embassy) the reason I say that is TL's are issued from Dept of Homeland Security which is always based out of an Embassy outside the US and not consulates. One has the option of applying for this at a consulate but they turn around and send all the informtion to DHS (at the embassy). This just takes too much time. At the embassy it wasn't too much trouble or no convincing needed however just to get the process done and receive the paper work in hand it took a good 4 business days and persistance. Also once you receive a transportation letter it is recommended that you shoot for a non stop flight since the TL's are 2 copies in a sealed envelope (1 for the immigration from your departure destination and the other for your immigration at the port of entry) before issuing a TL the embassy will ask you for your port of entry since the TL is addressed to that port. Lastly they did not charge anything for this but upon reading some other old posts in some forums if you go to a consulate they charge $180 for this. Hope no one has to go through this but if you do above is a debrief of what to expect.

I am one of the July 2nd filer, EB2 India, PD is April 2005. There is problem if you filed 485 at NSC but got a receipt# starting with WAC we must address it asap.
I called up NSC with my Receipt that starts with WAC as it was send to CSC by NSC that processed the application send me the first notice with RD 07/02/2007. I again got the second I-485 transfer notice in September with RD 09/26/2007 saying my case has been transferred back to NSC office as they have jurisdiction over it. The IO says as my application receipt# starts with WAC it will processed by the CSC processing dates that is dead at May 2006 rather than the NSC processing dates that is at 10th August 2007 making my 485 eligible for processing.
If we do not solve this problem we could be lingering in CSC for years.
If there has been cases where someone had I-485 Receipt# starting with WAC but got processed by NSC processing dates as it was filed there please come forward.
Looks like there has been some TSC approvals for EAC receipts but no news on NSC, anybody please post here.
